Tasting notes

Dark, rich ruby. Intense, dense, almost exploding nose. Scent of ripe wild berries and cassis, mocha, warm smoke, with fine, subtle coconut, vanilla and roasted notes. A large, mouth-filling and aromatic wine with plenty of melting and a robust texture. The finish is long and distinctly aromatic. An excellent representative of the Maremma, with plenty of regional character, and at a fair price.

Details

After the assemblage, the young wine matures for eight months in barriques. The scent of ripe berries, the charmingly sweet spiciness and the subtle mint note seduce and convince, as does the fruity finish and aftertaste. An excellent ambassador of the Maremma!

Recommendation

We love it with hearty pasta dishes and meat in every variation.

Vinification

After destemming and gentle pressing, the different grape varieties are vinified separately. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in 225-litre barriques (Allier and Tronçais) and in stainless steel tanks. After assemblage, the young wine matures for eight months in barriques.
